Nourishing Your Heart Center
Sit or lie quietly with your eyes closed. Take three deep breaths inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling completely through your mouth. As you breathe, listen to your breath going in and out. Now, allow your breath to return to its normal rhythm, and focus upon the beating of your heart. As you feel your heartbeat, visualize your blood gently moving through all the veins in your body. Allow the circulation of blood to add warmth and relaxation to your energy.
Tell your physical body to continue to relax and begin to create a picture in your mind’s eye. “See” a small green ball floating a few feet directly in front of your heart center. With your next inhalation through your nose, visualize the ball coming toward you and gently touching the center of your chest. With your next exhalation through your mouth, see the ball floating back to its original position in a beautiful burst of pink light. The little ball hovers a few feet in front of your chest and waits for another inhalation to move toward you and nourish your heart center. Repeat the breathing visualization for at least five breaths (more if you like), and feel the rejuvenating energy in the center of your chest. This exercise is a wonderful way to rebalance your emotions and create a stronger, healthier sense of well-being.
