Dogs That Know When Their Owners Are Coming Home: And Other Unexplained Powers of Animals by Rupert Sheldrake Since my first psychic experiences were with animals, I have always been excited about books that discuss animals and their amazing abilities. I hope you will read this book, and through the insights gleaned, gain a new respect for your animal companions.

The author of several books and more than fifty scientific papers, he lives in London." Dominion: The Power of Man, the Suffering of Animals, and the Call to Mercy by Matthew Scully
As most of you know, I have worked with and for animals my entire life, and I continue to hope that one day they (all animals) will get the respect they deserve. We are just learning of the magic of some animals (dogs who can sniff out skin cancer, predict seizures, etc.), and there will be more discoveries in the years to come. As I was reading the newsletter, Animal Guardian, created by the Doris Day Animal League and the Doris Day Animal Foundation, they discussed a best-seller entitled Dominion: The Power of Man, the Suffering of Animals and the Call to Mercy, by Matthew Scully. I have not yet read this book, but it certainly sounds interesting and informative. Whether you consider yourself an animal person, an animal activist or an animal welfare worker, this book would be a fascinating read for you. The author describes the book as a "moral inquiry into the treatment of animals" - and I am certain everyone will be touched by this book. Please share your insights with me if you choose to read it.
