Question
Our office building is haunted. The spirits are pretty friendly and pretty much leave us alone. They are planning to renovate the building this fall. When a haunted building is renovated, do the spirits usually leave?
Answer
Very interesting question, and the answer is sometimes yes and sometimes no. When spirits are attached to an area, a specific parcel of land, or a building, they can leave very quickly and "go to the light." I work with many such places, and I have experienced great variations in attachment of spirits. If the spirits are very specifically attached to the building, they will at least change form becoming much more active or much less active. If they are attached to the land and/or the area, renovation will make little difference. I strongly suggest that you pay very close attention to changes in the feeling of the energy so that you can work to release these spirits if necessary. In fact, I always suggest working toward releasing spirits if you recognize their presence (whether or not you feel threatened by them). It is not imperative that they remain, and they may simply need permission to go. Most importantly, you must remember that there is nothing to fear. Spirits are simply energies with personalities that haven't left the earth yet - they are displaced. So, monitor your office building and let me know if you need help with the energy work.
