Question
In light of the current world situation, what can I do to cope with the energy I sense around me? Is it possible to move into a place of spirit and not be so fearful and worried all the time? Some days I feel I can deal with the terrorist threat, and some days I feel paralyzed with apprehension. Please help - I know there is a spiritual side to all this madness.

Answer
Thank you for the question that is on everyone's mind. There is much we can do, each one of us. First we must remind ourselves that we are spiritual beings having a human experience at this difficult time. We must care for ourselves first, and then send that energy outward. We must all strive to pull ourselves out of the mire of fear, anger, and hate, and see life through eyes of compassion. Find quiet times for yourself each day; create an alter for peace; pray or meditate; and, above all, recognize and share with your spiritual family. We do not wish to draw that to us which we fear the most, instead, we want to help build a world of compassion and peace. Take good care of yourself, share your spiritual perspectives with all those around you, and the energy that you sense will lighten and the apprehension will dissipate.

Question
Once before you gave me some advise that helped me though a rough time in my life. Here I am again. I am in a state of confusion over whether staying in my marriage is a commitment to resolve life issues for myself and my husband, or whether it is in fact some crazy exercise in martyrdom, It feels like a fine line there. Any thoughts?

Answer
Hi - nice to hear from you again. You are so right about your situation - a fine line indeed. There have been many lessons through this relationship, but I feel it's time to let them resolve themselves right now. I believe some time apart now would be very beneficial. Can you separate without causing too much damage? Sometimes financial issues surface that make a temporary separation difficult, but I believe you need to be away from each other sooner rather than later. I get the very strong sense that there are no new issues waiting to evolve in the relationship and you both need to discuss peace of mind as a combined main focus.
