Question
I am bewildered by my future prospects. I have been with my husband for 24 years, but I am miserable. He is a negative person and I am a positive one. He is controlling and I want to fly, but it would be a very messy divorce, and I would fear for my life. I feel I can't leave him and, also, my son and daughter-in-law are about to have my grandbaby, and I don't want to leave the state. What can I do?
Answer
As you know, and as much as I hate to admit it, you're in a very difficult situation - one of those famous "rock-and-a-hard-place" kind of energies. You and your husband have little in common (energy-wise), and I believe you both would be much better off living in separate places. I know you can't leave with an upcoming grandchild. Are there any opportunities for peace? Will your husband allow you to stay with friends or try a trial separation? If he would, maybe he could see the benefit of your separation to everyone. I don't feel very positive about these possibilities, but I know you need to move forward, and you cannot grow in his presence. I don't judge his personality, just reading him through your energy tells me what I need to know. Keep trying (gently if necessary) to convince your husband that you both would be better off alone at this time in your lives. I send you much good energy.
