Question
I have been studying and practicing creative visualization for several weeks now. I have not had any trouble relaxing and visualizing what I want to create in my life, but I find I am obsessing and feel that I have to constantly reaffirm my vision. I feel like I'm putting more negative energy into this process instead of actually creating what I wish to have in my life! Is it possible to confirm or visualize things too much and actually make it take longer to manifest?
Answer
Practicing visualization for several weeks is good for building a base, but not long enough to really create a major life change, and, yes, I believe you can become obsessed with the your goals and inhibit the process. You must visualize what you want, release the need, and go on with your life. Patience is the key. Continue to visualize each day, but then release your desires to the Universe and let it do its work. You must, of course, remove fear from the picture. If you fear not getting something you desire, that fear will push away the possibility. Do not allow fear to direct your life. Relax into your days, put your desires out to the Universe, and enjoy your life. Most of all, remember that creative visualization is an unbelievably powerful tool. Keep practicing.
Question
What is a spirit?
Answer
My definition of a spirit is that powerful energy that embodies love and energy. We are all spiritual beings of light that are having a human experience. Our spirit guides us to help ourselves live a balanced life and help those in need. Our spirit is wise and knows that we need to explore being human but not be owned by it.
Many people describe a spirit as a ghost of some sort. So, that means that a spirit without a physical body is sometimes called a ghost. I do not believe "ghosts" ever harm anything, they may be no more than a spirit on its way to its next energy space.
I hope this simple explanation helps.
