Question
I am very afraid of the dark. I am unable to sleep alone in the night. At 30 years old, I have to keep the lights on to go to sleep. I feel that suddenly some unknown spirit or something will come in front of me in the dark or that some ghost or unknown thing is looking at me from the window. I have tried many healings and prayers, but still this fear is not going away.
Answer
Your fear is not based in this life, but a past life. There are several things you can do: 1. keep the lights on, try to relax, and say some prayers of protection. Hopefully you can get some sleep. 2. Find a trusted professional hypnotherapist and do some past-life work. Several regressions may well offer you enough information to work through these issues. Mainly, don't be hard on yourself. You're not being silly, you're listening to your energy which is reminding you that sometime in the distant past, you had reason to fear the dark. That reason no longer exists, however, so you can work to release it. Again, remember to be gentle with yourself (you tend to judge yourself a bit too harshly).
