Question
(A question from my radio show) I'm preparing to sell my house. What colors should I use to welcome those who view my home? Are there colors that will draw in potential buyers?
Answer
This question has been asked before, and I think it's worth another comment. It's so important that you use warm, inviting colors when you're preparing to sell your home. If your home is furnished, you have to live with your color choices and compliment your decor by adding candles, rugs, etc. in dark reds and blues if you can fit them in. If your house is empty, you have many choices. Have a welcome rug of dark red or blue. Scatter rugs through the entrances that are warm and inviting - even dark brown will work. You know the home best so trust yourself to add extra color and energy to it. I suggest you return to an empty house at least once each week (unless it's too far) and walk through sharing your energy for the next interested buyer. Whatever your choice, always leave the house with a good wish for new residents who will care for the property.
