Question
I never make New Year's Resolutions, but I would like to start the year on the right foot. What things can you suggest that would help me grow into a more balanced, content person? I've tried lots of things, but I can't seem to stick to anything for very long. Help.
Answer
Your situation is all too common. Most of us have trouble creating and staying with healthy habits. For you (and most of the rest of us too) it is so important to keep yourself organized. For a month or two, make a daily schedule for yourself. Do your best to stick to it, but if you can't, forgive yourself and begin again the next day. Each day you need to build in time to: eat well (monitor your diet); exercise (even 20 minutes of walking will do); get the proper amount of sleep for your body; meditate (ten minutes of quiet time will suffice); read something inspirational; stimulate your creative self; allow extra time to listen to your inner self. Simply adding a few moments to your daily schedule for spiritual growth will work wonders and allow you to stick to your plan.
