Student of the Universe 3/6/07

Well, here we go. Having never blogged before, I don't have any idea what I'm doing, but I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts and my insights. Yep, I'll share plenty of both. It's interesting to write not knowing who may be reading this. Let me hear from you. To introduce myself and my work, I want to start with who and where I am. I'm Lee Channing, and I was born in and live just outside of Charlottesville, Virginia in the United States. I'm an only child (of Madeline and Russell Gardner), wife, mother of three, grandmother, friend, relative, psychic, hypnotherapist, guide, radio show host, author, teacher, double Taurus, and, maybe most of all, a student of the Universe. I was doing my intuitive "work" before it was fashionable, having my first clairvoyant experiences back in 1968 (althought I knew I could communicate with animals and read energy as a child). Before we get to 1968, I'd like to say that today I am blessed to share intuitive readings with people from all over the world, and, in my office, share past-life regressions. More on that another time and in the next blog, I'll head back to 1968.

Hello Lee,

Thanks for the email that linked me to your tour along your life path. smile I have finished reading your March entries..

We have spoken before about your gift; I have enjoyed reading the “events” that formed the lady you are today. (smile)

My goodness, You now have a granddaughter! My, how time has passed. Makes me wonder how I have “used” that time since when we first met. So many people say "waisted" I choose, "used". ha!

Remember my first past life reading with you? I still see the picture of that stunning horse in my mind. Last year I started working with a couple horses, more so because they were on the company land, and I thought I could give them the attention I thought they were missing, and I thought they would enjoy. (smile) Let me add that these horses were without the company of another horse. Hence me making the time out for them.

These horses taugh me many lessons. They taught me that the few minutes I had to brush them was not going to be in a fast forward motion. If my energy was still racing from the work day, they would back off until I took a deep breath, calmed myself, and then said my hellos.

Several months ago, I was working with a horse. I asked for her front left foot; she continued to say no, but I continued anyway. I heard a "crunch" sound, like the sound a very cold, fresh apple makes when it's bitten into... yep, it was my skin that went "crunch" she just missed my right eye, instead she got my high cheek bone area and my temple. Oh heavens is right... ha! My first thought was, "Girl, all ya had to do was back up" Of course it had to be the hearing side of my head and not my deaf side. (grin) She felt bad, I could tell. So ... She taught me the very important lesson - to listen!!! …to what is being sent to me. I'm a little shy around horses now, but I remain in awe of them.

I’m heading up a fundraiser for a local non- profit org. that takes abused horses in, and gives them the job of working with kids and adults with handicaps. Hoofbeats is the name of the organization. I’m creating a Chalk UP… for Hoofbeats. Individuals and Companys sponsor Artists to draw on the Main Street in Lexington. I’m working on making it into a festival kind of day. After all “Street Painting” dates back to the 16th Century in Italy. So a festival it shall be. (smile) So if you know anyone that wants to play send them my way. (smile)

Quick story about a horse and her rider: This horse had been beaten with a bat, she’s blind and missing many of her teeth. A little girl, blind, that was to ride her for the first time, continued to say she couldn’t do it [get on the horse]. The horse used it’s front leg to feel the platform the child was on, and proceeded to move in to a leaning position where the child could hug the horse and get on. This is why I want to help Hoofbeats! These horses are a gift to the children and adults that depend on them.

Sorry Lee, as you well know me, I tend to get carried away with the chattieness of my thoughts. (smile)

Thank you again for taking the time to share you stories, and thoughts.

With Respect,
Sherri
